VERONA, Wis.— Dane County Consolidated Food Service is now among the many businesses and governmental agencies to make the switch to solar energy. Dane County Consolidated Food Service is responsible for providing 4,000 meals daily to local county facilities, such as Dane County Jail, Juvenile Detention, Badger Prairie Health Care Center, and more than a dozen senior citizen sites across the county. Stateline Solar bid for the installation on this facility and installed in October, 2020.
This roof-mounted solar energy system will provide 20% of the building’s electricity consumption at 73.63 kilowatts DC. Consisting of 199 solar panels, Dane Co. Consolidated Food Service’s system would equate to the emissions saved by 30,226 planted trees or taking 10 cars off the road.
As the green energy movement takes hold in Wisconsin, community demand for sustainability practices grows. By adopting solar energy, an institution can show they are committed to ethical environmental practices, as well as cut energy costs for a balanced budget. Stateline Solar aims to help small and large businesses and organizations alike to show their community that they are committed to a cleaner, greener future.
