Women in Renewable Industries & Sustainable Energy celebrate WRISE week August 24-28, 2020. Women are underrepresented in the clean energy field, comprising of only 35% of the industry’s workforce, according to the International Renewables Energy Agency. As the renewable energy industry continues to grow, more opportunities arise for women to take an active role in its success.
Here’s a look at the integral roles women play at Stateline Solar, their backgrounds, and their passion for the renewable energy industry:
Hilary Fiene
Chief Office Manager
Hilary began her journey in the renewable energy industry in 2017 as she and her husband, Ethan Fiene (Founder & CEO of Stateline Solar) helped bring to light Stephenson County’s first solar company. She is now Stateline Solar’s Chief Office Manager, playing an important role in administrative tasks, branding, customer relations, and community involvement. On top of all these duties, Hilary is the mother of an amazing little boy, Waylen, and his soon-to-be-arriving sibling later this Fall.
Emily Diffenderfer

Emily joined Stateline Solar’s team in May 2019 as a solar design engineer intern. She juggles her role and a full-time university course load. Currently, she is pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering from University of Wisconsin- Platteville. Emily’s solar designs come to life for most of Stateline Solar customers to enjoy for years to come.
Kevyn Sutter

In November 2019, Kevyn joined Stateline Solar as their Multimedia Specialist.
